So many odes to Oppy are popping up today. It’s heartening to see the influence this tough little robot had on so many.

Opportunity did not answer NASA’s final call, and it’s now lost to us

It roved a staggering 45.16 kilometers across the Red Planet.

Dust storm

The dust storm on Mars is a global weather event.

“The last dust storm on Mars to go global occurred in 2007, five years before the Curiosity rover landed at its Gale Crater site, according to officials with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California.”
